Started in Georgia in 1982...

Began moving around with work so spent many years hiking bits and pieces with a effort to someday hike every mile. Finally on December 6, 2022 I hiked the Maryland section completing my journey. Age 64 and 40 years in the making.
Just wish my 1982 hike partner could have been around to join me.

ATC provides a wealth of information for this valuable resource and it only right to support their effort so that we might continue to have the AT available to us. I was a member of the old ATC 40 years ago and now that I am once again backpacking the AT I am happy to join again.

I've sat on the fence about this for a while, and now that I'll actually hike it next year, wanted to do just a bit to help the organization. Hopefully I'll be able to do more in years to come, for now, it's nice to be a card carrying member!
